K.C. Collins born Christopher Carl Collins in Toronto, Ontario. He is the second youngest of 6 children he has three sisters (all older) and 2 brothers. He was raised by his grandmother from the age of six. When he was 9 he started playing hockey professionally, yes that’s right, he played into his teens until he hit Triple A hockey then he stopped. Somewhere along the way Collins got bit by the acting bug.

He studied at the Monroe Community College in New York after receiving a baseball scholarship. Do you recognize Collins? Well you should. He has been in a lot of Canadian and American film and television productions & is one of the most talented rising Canadian Stars.

Collins has a certain presence on screen one that makes him one of the most riveting actors to watch. So with that it should come as no surprise that the actor has not only received critical acclaim for his performances, nominations, and an award, but also has a long list of acting credits to go along with it some of which include working with some of the greatest and most well known actors including Oscar Winner Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Of those his TV credits include appearances in Due South, The Hoop Life, Doc, Odyssey 5, Sue Thomas F.B.Eye, Platinum, Playmakers, Tarzan, Blue Murder (the Canadian series not be confused with the UK version), Lovebites, Close To Home, a lead role in the mini-series Doomstown which garnered Collins his first Gemini Award nomination, The mini-series The Summit, The mini-series ZOS: Zone Of Separation, the popular CBC mini-series Guns his role in that won him an ACTRA award for Outstanding Performance - Male, Flashpoint, a single father trying to make a better life for himself and his kid while living in a worse-to-do area in Hamilton, Ontario, in the hit Showcase drama Crash and Burn, and Rookie Blue.
