Ian MacDougall a member of our executive protection detail security team and heads up our training/combat program courses as an instructor is also a Corporal in the Canadian armed force's. Currently on his second tour in Afghanistan drives the Leopard 2 main battle tank. 1500 horse power 70 tons 120mm main gun It's the ultimate off road mean machine which provides great support to any combat team and deliver's devastating firepower to the enemy.
Over the 1st year in the army some of his training consisted of handling and firing the c7 and c8 5.56mm assault rifle and c9 and 5.56mm light machine gun.
Some of the heavy weapon's were the c6 7.62mm machinegun m67 grenade and some shoulder fired rocket's.Then the armoured part of the training was using radio communication equipment driving truck's then finally the leopard c2 tank .
Summer 2006 he was on vacation in Toronto when he received a call to start workup training to go to Afghanistan and drive one of 17 leopard c2 tank's going over sea's
By october 2006 he was on the ground &.4 month's later he returned to Canada and started to train to go back a second time for 7 month's. This time he was going to Germany for a month to learn the the leopard 2 tank this time which is what mostly made him go back .Currently he is in Afghanistan and who knows what will happen next.
